Fortify Labs by TZ APAC is a Web3 startup studio empowering the best builders on Tezos and Etherlink to become successful founders tailored to foster startups built on Tezos and Etherlink. Each project can tap into benefits of up to USD 650,000+ in support, including essential resources, mentorship, access to an L1 ecosystem, a vibrant community of users, strategic connections and investment opportunities.
One such resource is TZ Apex, a community rewards program initiative by TZ APAC that is aimed at bolstering community involvement and interaction with projects built on Tezos through incentivization.
We’re looking to build on the momentum coming out of the Fortify Labs 2024 cohort, which produced notable success stories. Questflow experienced a 156x increase in monthly active users and over 500% revenue growth. OCV Labs transitioned from zero to five-figure revenue and reached a peak of 1.3k on-chain daily active users. Along with akaSwap, OCV Labs secured funding from the Tezos Foundation after meeting key milestones, including growth in metrics such as revenue, weekly active users, volume, and community engagement.
The 2025 edition received more than double of last year’s applications, many of which demonstrated immense potential to solve real-world problems, bring something game-changing to the market and enrich the Tezos ecosystem.
This year, we’re launching these projects differently. We want you to not just read about them, but also discover their value propositions and get rewarded in the process. Empowering startups is a bumpy but fulfilling experience, and we want you to be with us from the very start.
That’s what, TZ Apex Season 5 is all about - connecting the newly-inducted projects to the community, with some tweaks incorporated after listening to your feedback from last year.

If this is your first time hearing about TZ Apex, it is a community rewards program initiative by TZ APAC that is aimed at bolstering community involvement and interaction with projects built on Tezos through incentivization.
Utilizing quests, a sequence of verifiable on-chain and off-chain actions tailored for both Web3 beginners and seasoned crypto natives, participants can accomplish quests and accumulate experience points (EXP) through Zealy, which can then be redeemed for a variety of rewards.
Based on feedback we received last year regarding issues like wallet clustering and higher-tier players feeling under-rewarded, we’ve revamped the system to ensure a more fair and rewarding experience for everyone this year. For a start, Apex and Conqueror tier participants (see leaderboard tiering in the upcoming section for more context) will have early access to the gacha store, while participants engaging in wallet clustering will not be awarded APEX points or prizes.
This year, we’ve revamped the prize structure for the gacha store to ensure a more balanced experience, moving away from last year’s uneven distribution.
This structure ensures that mid-tier participants are rewarded while still prioritizing top-tier players, all while making merchandise more exclusive.
Additional bonus XP will be awarded to players based on their total accumulated XP for the season. The bonus XP will be granted or claimed next season.
Summit
Players who earn 50–69% of the total possible XP will receive an additional 500 XP.
Pinnacle
Players who earn 70–84% of the total possible XP will receive an additional 1000 XP.
Apex
Players who earn 85–94% of the total possible XP will receive an additional 1500 XP. Early access to the gacha store.
Conqueror
Players who earn 95–100% of the total possible XP will receive an additional 2000 XP. Early access to the gacha store.
In the event of a leaderboard reward or a tie in scores, the questing platform’s ranking algorithm will be used to determine the final rankings.
